12/01/05 With deep regret I must announce the shipping date for our first two games Silent War and Bitter End has slipped. The printers have the approvals and PO’s for all the components are all issued to the vendors. With the holidays and the year-end printing rush we feel at this time, that the games won’t ship prior to Christmas- despite our best efforts and most notably the efforts of our own Ken Dingley. Ken has stayed up until the wee hours of many a morning working on getting the games shepparded and ready for print (I hope his wife and family won’t disown him for this)...

We now await the finished components to return from the vendors.

Please bear with us- Mid January looks like a realistic ship date. I wanted to post this as soon as we had the most up to date info. I am bummed out about the delay.

Back in August, at the WBC, my friend Andy Lewis of GMT said, “Mark, you won’t make your PLANNED shipping date for the first games”. I was confident we could comfortably do so. I should have listened to Andy- he’s been down the road many times before. Shame on me for not paying more heed to his words! I guess we are now a real wargame publisher having experienced the problem of delayed ship dates.

It is my belief the extra time needed will result in a higher quality of games in your hands.

All of us at Compass Games apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment the delay may cause.

Both games are winding their way to the printers. Currently the shipping is looking good for December '05.

I'll post changes and/or updates here to keep folks informed about our progress.

11/11/05- We are close to finishing pre-production and the component samples we've seen from our vendors look excellent! Really nice to see our first products coming to life!

10/24/05- Bitter End is nearly ready for the printer- waiting for the final edits of the Silent War rules to have the combined print package ready to go cardboard.

Good Gaming!
